Frey Freyday – Be Bold

(Frey Freyday is simply a bunch of inspirational, motivational and other quotes meant to make you think, reflect, smile, even laugh a bit. Hopefully helpful, useful stuff..)

Often, in the real world, it’s not the smart that get ahead but the bold.-Robert Kiyosaki

Leadership comes in small acts as well as bold strokes.Carly Fiorina

WORD TO LIVE BY:

bold [bōld] – showing an ability to take risks; confident and courageous:

Most of us here in the US have pretty good lives these days. We really don’t suffer much, at least most of us. We have what we need.

It is true that we don’t always get what we want and we are stressed out sometimes, but much of that might be self-imposed.

Can we achieve more? Can we contribute more? Can we be more? Absolutely.

Can we accomplish our 10 year plan in 1 year? Yes.

It is just a decision, a basic plan, and some passion/courage.

We live in a great world, generally speaking. We are comfortable. We are often complacent.

So many of us can be, and perhaps want to be, more. Yet because we are comfortable, and because we all have some fears, it is sometimes tough to be bold and go for it.

….stop thinking about acting and actually do something! Stop the paralysis of analysis. Stop trying to make it perfect.

Just go do it. You will learn and grow and become someone new just by doing. Others will respect you just for trying.

Here’s a suggestion from a wikiHow writer (http://www.wikihow.com/Be-Bold)

boldness, what would they do in your shoes? If you already know someone who’s bold, imagine how they’d act.

  • Your bold inspiration doesn’t have to be ‘real’. You could even think of a character from a movie or book who’s daring and brave. Then, imagine their boldness in your life.

Ask for what you want. Rather than waiting to be recognized for your efforts, or expecting someone to consider your needs, step up and ask. This doesn’t mean you should demand what you want or be aggressive. Instead, confidently and tactfully choose your words

Take risks and create opportunities. There’s a difference between being reckless and accepting risks. Reckless people don’t accept risks because they don’t even think about them. A bold person, on the other hand, has learned about the risks, and decided to go through with the decision anyway, ready and willing to accept the consequences if things don’t work out

Did you ever do something bold? It felt scary before and during, right? But after, it was incredible!

You did it. You stretched yourself. You grew! You can be bold any moment.

from the site : boldlife.com – “A bold life requires that you consistently take action in order to build your confidence and courage. When you hold back out of doubt and fear, you live small, settle for less, and cheat yourself out of an adventurous life.

Afraid? Everyone is. Don’t allow fear to stop you. Don’t allow the monsters in your head to steal your joy and opportunities.

When you act boldly, you summon mighty forces. Anything can happen. Everything is possible!”

Bold Questions: Why am I bold at just the right moment? Why do I make wise, bold choices? Why am I bold?

How can I be bold and contribute right now?

If your life is the same as it is today, one year from now, are you good with that?

Be Bold. Dream Big. This is it, there are no rehearsals. This is our life. Make it happen, now.

Frey Freyday was actually born out of something I created called “Words To Live By” (WTLB). Going forward, I will now not only share the quotes, as you may be used to receiving, but also a related (WTLB). In 1999, when we had our first daughter, I was contemplating how I would raise my new beautiful child, and I was thinking about how I can best educate her and my other children about values, morals, and other key thoughts about life. School offers education. Religion offers some values and morals. Parents offer most of it, sometimes intentionally, sometimes accidentally.
So I created a (WTLB) book, like a dictionary, which lists things like honesty, love, persistence, etc. with a definition that I created, with my wife’s input. I then turned it into a workbook with one word per page and space below for notes. For years we would discuss with my two daughters and they would draw pictures and make notes in the blank space. I may share some of those images with you. As they got older, they were less inclined to draw and more open to quotes and references from adults, hence where Frey Freyday came from….
